DJ Bus Tour

The DJ Bus Tour features a live DJ and MC who serve as aural/oral guides taking guests to see landmarks integral to the history of Harlem and NYC’s hip-hop industry.  Some of the sites seen on this three-hour tour include: MTV’s TRL Studio, the Cotton Club, the Apollo Theater, and the Graffiti Wall of Fame.

Hip-Hop Dance & Music Tour

 

TRY1[1]The Hip-Hop Dance & Music Tour gives students first-hand experience of what it is like to participate in two of the most important pillars of hip-hop: music and dance. During this hip-hop education tour, students visit an active music studio where artists such as Rihanna, Coldplay, Whitney Houston, and Jay-Z have all recorded. Additionally, students get an introduction to hip-hop dance and learn a short, choreographed dance routine. The Hip-Hop Dance & Music Tour is made complete by a behind-the-scenes tour of the world famous Apollo Theater. Lunch at a Soul Food restaurant is also included in this field tip package.

During this hip-hop education tour, students learn the fundamentals of turntablism and what it takes to be a hip-hop deejay. The students then visit an active music studio where artists such as Rihanna, Coldplay, Whitney Houston, and Jay-Z have all recorded.
